North Oaks Health System (NOHS), a financially strong, complex, growing, market dominant, top ranked, state-of-the-art community health system with a dynamic and stable leadership team and a fantastic family-oriented culture, announces a national search for a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.  Located along the fastest growth corridor in Louisiana and less than an hour’s drive from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, North Oaks has established a strong reputation for providing patient-centered, high-quality, complex medical and specialty care across a large region and seeks a Vice President who can continue to accelerate the dynamic growth of the health system and its connection to the community.
The Vice President of Marketing and Business Development will report directly to the health system’s President & CEO .  As a key strategic member of the Senior Leadership Team, the VP will lead marketing, business development, public relations, patient experience, in-house print and production, communications, and will play a critical role in ongoing strategic plans and future developments across the system .  With the goal of positioning North Oaks as the region’s pre-eminent healthcare provider, the VP will build collaborative relationships with all members of the senior leadership team and clinical service line teams and skillfully leverage community relationships and partnership to achieve strategic plan targets related to market share growth, community perception/relations, and patient satisfaction.

ABOUT NORTH OAKS HEALTH SYSTEM:
Established in 1954 by the state of Louisiana as a Parish Hospital Service District, North Oaks opened its doors in 1960 and has grown to become one of the state’s largest and most progressive health systems that is governed by a 7-member Board of Commissioners.  The health system is the region’s second largest employer with almost 3,000 team members and has an annual economic impact of $2 Billion to the local economy.  North Oaks Health System has ranked in the 95 th percentile in patient satisfaction and was recognized in 2021 by Modern Healthcare as a Top 10 Best Performing Hospital.
This not-for-profit community health system has over $430M in net revenues and is anchored by North Oaks Medical Center, a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, 330-bed, Level II Trauma facility.  North Oaks Medical Center is a beautifully designed, accessible, and expansive medical campus offering the full range of medical services from childbirth to open-heart and advanced robotic surgery.  
Additional health system locations include the CARF-accredited, 27-bed North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital, North Oaks Diagnostic Center, North Oaks Livingston Parish Medical Complex, and North Oaks Hospice.  North Oaks Physician Group is continually expanding and currently includes over 150 providers.  The North Oaks Foundation, a private 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, supports the health system by providing funding for programs and equipment purchases that may not otherwise be possible for the hospital to fund through its operations.
THE LOCALE – HAMMOND, LOUISIANA:
Hammond is the largest city in Tangipahoa Parish that is located along southeast Louisiana’s growth corridor, just 45 minutes east of Louisiana’s capital, Baton Rouge, and 45 minutes northwest of New Orleans.  Hammond’s current population is approximately 21,000 residents, and it is part of the New Orleans-Metairie-Hammond combined statistical area with over 1.5 million residents.
Over the past several years, Hammond has experienced consistent growth of new residents and ranks as one of the nation’s fastest growing cities. Despite its rising popularity, the city has retained its small-town convenience, historic southern charm, friendliness, and affordability while becoming well-known for a growing and diverse restaurant scene, cultural events, year-round festivals, and a wide array of outdoor activities.  It was recently named “The Cleanest City in Louisiana.”  Hammond truly has something for everyone, and that’s why it’s a great place to call home.  In 2022, Hammond was one of three winners of the prestigious Great American Main Street Award which recognizes historic preservation efforts, a vibrant small business environment, and dedication to inclusive, people-centered placemaking.  
The three largest employers in Tangipahoa Parish include the Tangipahoa Parish School System, North Oaks Health System, and Southeastern Louisiana University.  As a college town, Hammond is home to the state’s third-largest public university with nearly 15,000 students and more than 150 programs of study.  The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has more than 3,700 students enrolled in a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across the Department of Health & Human Sciences, The Department of Kinesiology & Health Studies, and the College of Nursing which offers and RN to BSN Program and BSN, MSN, and DPN degree programs.  Southeastern offers 16 NCAA Division I athletic programs, all of which compete in the Southland Conference.
EDUCATON & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Hospital Administration or related field from an accredited degree program is required.
At least ten (10) years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, Advertising, and/or Communication is required. Five (5) years in a leadership role is required.  Prior experience working in a complex and growing health system is highly desirable.
