Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: At United Digestive, we prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships with targeted physician and practice referral sources to drive and sustain incremental volume into our network practices. The Regional Account Executive is the primary face of United Digestive to referring providers, responsible for increasing loyalty and preference for our practices. This full-time position, based in Atlanta, requires daily travel (up to 75% weekly) within the defined geographic area to engage with referring providers.
REPORTS TO: Practice Marketing Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement specific outreach, relationship-building, and marketing plans to meet goals in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
Coordinate and attend community health fairs and expos and maintain inventory management.
Establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring providers and their office staff through routine visits, emails, and phone calls.
Update and manage the CRM database/mailing lists for external communications to patients and referring physicians.
Build, support, and strengthen relationships with referring providers using a variety of tools including clinical and programmatic education materials.
Act as a key resource for internal and external clients, identifying new business opportunities and resolving referring physician complaints.
Utilize quantitative skills to access and interpret data from multiple sources to inform strategy and create effective sales plans.
Prepare activity and results reports, including weekly work plans and monthly reports.
Participate in community engagement by growing existing relationships and establishing new ones to drive referrals.
Plan and participate in social events, corporate events, and workshops, including staff events.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field highly preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant experience is acceptable; 2-4 years of experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or device sales; proven track record of successful relationship building and ability to meet productivity targets, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, presentation software, and social media management tools; general knowledge of CRM software systems.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS: The Regional Account Executive must have:
Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and time management skills with consistent attention to detail
Strong communication skills through telephone, email, and in person
Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks under pressure
Ability to work both independently in the field and with teams to accomplish results
Reliable, punctual, and able to provide a high level of customer service
Willingness to accommodate physicians’ schedules, which may occasionally fall outside standard office hours
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Daily travel within the designated region, and additional travel (nationwide) as business needs dictate. Bonus potential based off performance
